Taneema Samanta

Dr. Taneema Samanta specializes in Orbit and Oculoplasty surgery. She is working as a consultant in Susrut Eye Foundation & Research Centre, KOLKATA. She is experienced in phacoemulsification surgery and is trained in the treatment of all oculoplasty and orbital diseases, and ocular surface reconstructive proceedures due to her keen interest in this field.
She has completed her MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College and hospital, followed by M.S Ophthalmology from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, followed by a long term Fellowship in Orbit and Oculoplasty from Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre. She has also completed FICO examinations-Optics Refraction, Visual Sciences AND Clinical ophthalmology.
Throughout her career, She has presented papers in state as well as national podiums and has published articles in national journals. She has keen interest in academics and a continuous zeal of upgrading knowledge and learning new skills and techniques to achieve best possible outcome in her patients
