Debasree Basu

Dr. Debasree Basu completed her MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital, West Bengal in 2007. She completed her Post Graduation from M.G.M. Medical College, Kishanganj, Bihar in 2015. She joined VMA NNN, Chaitanyapur, Haldia as a fellow in Comprehensive Ophthalmology in 2017. She has worked in several remote places from Kolkata as an efficient Consultant Ophthalmologist. After that she joined Susrut, Saltlake in 2021 as a trainee in short term cataract surgery course. As she has keen interest in Pediatric Ophthalmology, she decided to join as a long term fellow in the department of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Susrut, Saltlake. Currently she is working in our pediatric department as a consultant. Her area of expertise includes Cataract, Squint (both adult and children), Pediatric Eye Disorders and Neuro-ophthalmology.
