Dr. Asmita Ray

Dr Asmita Ray completed her MBBS from Silchar Medical College & Hospital, Assam in 2008. She was a Gold Medalist in her MBBS batch. She completed her MS in Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), Guwahati in 2014, securing highest marks in her batch. Dr Ray then underwent one year long term fellowship in Cataract & Anterior Segment from Susrut Eye Foundation & Research Centre, Kolkata. This was followed by a second fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus from Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi. She has presented papers & instruction course in various state & national level conferences. Some of the prestigious awards under her belt include Dr B.K.Sahay Memorial Award for Best Paper in Young Researchers Award session, EIZOC 2013; Dr K. P. Roy Memorial Award for Best Paper in OSWB conference 2015. Besides these Dr Ray has also authored & co-authored various papers in state and national level journals. Her area of expertise include Cataract, Pediatric eye diseases & Squint ( both pediatric and adult).
